Last Updated: August 11, 2026

E.G. Supplies, LLC, doing business as PistonCMS (collectively, “PistonCMS,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you use the PistonCMS website, PistonCMS platform, PistonCMS mobile application, the future PistonCMS My Garage mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

This Privacy Policy applies to business account holders, their authorized users, customers whose information is entered into PistonCMS by a business, visitors to our website, and users of PistonCMS My Garage. Some features described below may not be available in every Service or at all times.

1. Our Role

When a repair shop or other business uses PistonCMS to manage information about its customers, the business determines why and how that information is used. In that situation, the business is responsible for its customer relationship and PistonCMS generally processes the information on the business’s behalf as a service provider or processor.

When we collect information directly from a PistonCMS account holder, website visitor, or PistonCMS My Garage user for our own business purposes, E.G. Supplies, LLC is responsible for that processing.

2. Information We Collect

  • Business and customer records: customer names, contact information, service addresses, vehicle information, estimates, quotes, invoices, service history, appointments, reminders, notes, payment status, and related records entered by an authorized business user.
  • PistonCMS My Garage information: account details, vehicles, mileage or odometer information, maintenance history, service reminders, repair records, receipts, notes, and information a user chooses to connect or share with a participating repair business.
  • Communications: information contained in support requests, contact forms, emails, SMS replies, surveys, feedback, and other communications with us or through the Services.
  • Billing information: subscription status, transaction identifiers, billing contact information, and limited payment-related records. Payment card numbers are generally collected and processed directly by our payment processor rather than stored by PistonCMS.

  • Cookies and similar technologies: session cookies, local storage, and similar technologies used for authentication, security, preferences, service operation, analytics, and performance.

We do not intentionally collect precise geolocation, contacts from a device address book, microphone recordings, or advertising identifiers unless a specific feature clearly requests that information and any required permission or consent is obtained.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide, maintain, authenticate, and secure the Services;

4. SMS and Mobile Messaging

PistonCMS may enable a business to send transactional SMS messages to its customers, including estimates, quotes, invoices, appointment information, service updates, vehicle-status notifications, and service reminders. PistonCMS My Garage may also send transactional messages requested by or related to a user’s account or vehicle service activity.

  • Messages are sent only after the recipient provides the consent required for the applicable message and sender.
  • Consent must be specific to the business identified in the opt-in disclosure. Consent is not transferable between unrelated businesses.
  • Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing goods or services.
  • Message frequency varies based on account activity and requested services.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. A recipient may also revoke consent through any other reasonable method.
  • After an opt-out request, one final message may be sent to confirm the opt-out. No further messages requiring that consent will be sent unless the recipient later opts in again.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

PistonCMS does not use transactional SMS enrollment to send unrelated advertising or promotional messages. Mobile numbers, SMS opt-in records, and consent information are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may provide mobile information to vendors that help us deliver messages, but only as necessary to provide the messaging service and subject to appropriate restrictions.

Businesses using PistonCMS are responsible for obtaining and documenting legally sufficient consent before sending messages, honoring opt-out and revocation requests, and complying with applicable messaging laws, carrier requirements, and industry standards.

5. Email Communications

We and businesses using PistonCMS may send transactional emails relating to accounts, estimates, invoices, service activity, reminders, security, and support. Where promotional email is permitted, recipients may use the unsubscribe link in the message. Unsubscribing from promotional email does not prevent necessary service, security, billing, or transactional communications.

6. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

  • At your direction: to a repair business, customer, PistonCMS My Garage user, or other recipient selected by an authorized user.
  • Service providers: to vendors that provide hosting, cloud storage, authentication, security, analytics, customer support, email, SMS delivery, payment processing, and other services on our behalf.

  • Business transfers: as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of some or all business assets, subject to applicable law.
  • Aggregated or de-identified information: where the information cannot reasonably identify an individual.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell or share mobile numbers or SMS consent information for third-party marketing.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, authentication measures, encrypted network transmission where appropriate, service monitoring, and restricted access to systems and records. No storage or transmission system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain an active account, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with tax, accounting, contractual, and legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and why it was collected.

When an account or record is deleted, we delete or de-identify associated information within a reasonable period, generally within 30 days after a verified request, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups until those backups are overwritten through our normal retention cycle. We may retain limited information when necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, financial recordkeeping, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

9. Account and Data Deletion

Account holders may request deletion of their account and associated personal information by emailing ed@pistoncms.com with the subject “Account Deletion Request.” or visit the account deletion page. Where an in-app deletion option is available, users may also submit a request through the account settings in the applicable app. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify identity and authority before completing the request.

A business customer seeking deletion or correction of information maintained by a repair shop should contact that shop directly. If we receive such a request, we may refer it to the applicable business account holder. Deleting an account does not require the deletion of information that another business independently must retain for legitimate legal, tax, warranty, transaction, safety, or recordkeeping purposes.

This section is intended to serve as the public web resource for requesting deletion of a PistonCMS or PistonCMS My Garage account. Requests may be submitted without reinstalling an app.

10. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a decision concerning a privacy request. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with an applicable privacy regulator.

To exercise a privacy right, email ed@pistoncms.com and describe your request. We may verify your identity and authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to verification.

You can control cookies through browser settings, although disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the Services from functioning. Mobile operating systems also provide controls for app permissions and notifications.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Services are intended for businesses, vehicle owners, and other general audiences and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 provided personal information without legally valid authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Contact us if you believe this has occurred.

12. International Data Processing

Information may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have privacy laws different from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

13. Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage users to review those policies before providing information to a third party.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our Services, practices, or legal obligations change. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the “Last Updated” date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before a material change takes effect.
